Toccoa/Stephens County Library announces closure starting Wednesday, March 18

The Toccoa/Stephens County Public Library, located at 53 W. Savannah Street in Toccoa, will be open limited hours on Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17. The library will open on a normal schedule at 10 a.m. both days, but will close at 3 p.m. instead of the normal 5:30 p.m. closing time.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, the library will be closed to the public in response to the continuing health concerns connected with COVID-19. The library is scheduled to re-open on Monday, March 23, pending updated scheduling adjustments.

"We are also cancelling all programs. both adult and children - and any meetings that were scheduled here, we are also cancelling," library officials advised ConnectLocal this morning, March 14.

A notice on the library's website advises "Please feel free to return books in our bookdrop and use the RBDigital app. Our WiFi signal also extends to the sidewalk and parking lot."
