Toccoa man injured in June 26 knife attack on Pond Street

Attacker still at large; described as black male dressed completely in black.

A 29-year-old Toccoa man was treated on June 26 at Stephens County Hospital after what he described as a knife attack by an unknown assailant.

Toccoa Police Department officers were dispatched on June 27 to the hospital in reference to a stabbing that occurred the previous night. According to the victim, Tyrian Stallings, an unknown black male with a knife attacked him after he left Zebos gas station, according to a statement today by Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize.

Stallings said that the attacker was "acting crazy, jumping on him and swinging a pocket knife at him." Stallings suffered a five-inch gash on his upper left chest and shoulder during the incident.

The suspect was wearing a black shirt, black hat and black boots, according to the victim.
