No visitors under the age of 18, and visitation limited to one immediate family member.

Today, March 13, Stephens County Hospital released the following policy change:

and visitors from potential exposure. Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us.

Please remember that we understand the desire of patients, families and loved ones to be together during illness or hospitalization, but it is our responsibility to keep everyone safe.

Effective immediately and until further notice, the following COVID-19 modification applies to our current visitation policy at Stephens County Hospital and all associated clinical locations:

Stephens County Hospital will limit patient visitors to one immediate family member in all patient areas, including labor and delivery. No visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed.

Visitors will be restricted if exhibiting any flu-like or respiratory signs and symptoms. It is advised that any family member or visitor with a history of travel to mainland China, South Korea, Iran, Italy or other area outlined by the CDC within the last 30 days is not allowed to enter the hospital.

ConnectLocal.News has contacted hospital administration to request further clarification on "one immediate family member" as to whether that refers to "at a time" or "within a certain period of time" and for a definitive definition of "immediate family" as to whether it includes grandparents, significant others, stepchildren, etc. We will update this post as more information is available.
