Jan. 28 Stephens County Board of Commissioners Agenda

UPDATE: At the Jan. 28 meeting of the Stephens County Board of Commissioners, all of the below-listed agenda items were approved by commissioners by vote during the regular meeting. However, following an executive session, the board re-convened and rescinded their approval of agenda item 7 - Board to consider motion to sign pay study agreement with Georgia Mountain Regional Commission. Commissioners made the decision to research their options further before committing to the Georgia Mountain Regional Commission study.


Next Scheduled Meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be held on Tuesday, February 11.

Following is the agenda for the Tuesday Jan. 28 meeting of the Stephens County Board of Commissioners. The work session begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse in Toccoa, with the regular meeting immediately following the work session.


1 - Variance request: Real Property Holding Toccoa Ga LLC, 282 Rock Creek Trail, currently zoned Agriculture Residential, requesting lot size variation - less than One acre (.24), side setbacks 5’ variance and front 30’ variance


2 - Variance request: Real Property Holding Toccoa Ga LLC, 294 Rock Creek Trail, parcel 057 235 currently zoned Agriculture Residential, requesting lot size variation - less than One acre (.19), side setbacks 5’ variance and front 30’ variance.


3 - Variance request: Real Property Holding Toccoa Ga LLC, 268 Rock Creek Trail, parcel 057 237 currently zoned Agriculture Residential, requesting lot size variation - less than One acre (.26) side setbacks 5’ variance and front 30’ variance.


4 - Variance request: Real Property Holding Toccoa Ga LLC, 256 Rock Creek Trail, parcel 057 238 currently zoned Agriculture Residential, requesting lot size variation - less than One acre (.30), side setbacks 5’ variance and front 30’ variance.


5 - Variance request: Currahee Club Development LLC, 282 106 Timber Ridge Drive, parcel 057 234, currently zoned Agriculture Residential, requesting lot size variation - less than One acre (.29) side setbacks 5’ variance and front 25’ variance.


6 - Rezoning request: Roy Richie Jr., petitioner of Frazier Hollis Property owner at 90 Spanish Moss Drive/Tower Road, parcel 066 023, currently zoned Agriculture Residential, requesting to Rex one .13 acres to residential single family to add to parcel 066 022.
