PruittHealth reports no COVID-19 cases at the Toccoa nursing home facility

PruittHealth - Toccoa has been de-escalated from Alert Code Red status and is now operating at Alert Code Amber status. This means there are no positive or presumptive positive COVID-19 cases in the center at this time.

PruittHealth - Toccoa now will allow additional staff in the center and will begin accepting new admissions. Newly admitted patients will be quarantined for 14 days to monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. 

PruittHealth - Toccoa will continue to implement enhanced infection control protocols, including increased cleaning frequency, postponing communal activities, screening staff, vendors and patients daily, and ceasing visitation with the exception of patients in end-of-life stages, according to information sent to ConnectLocal by the PruittHealth communications department. Additionally, the team PruittHealth - Toccoa still will closely monitor patients for symptoms of COVID-19 and continues to follow the latest guidelines from public health officials.
