Get an advance look at the potential legislation and topics to be addressed during the 2020 Georgia Legislative Session, with comments by Senator John Wilkinson and Representative Chris Erwin.
Community members will have a chance to meet with Senator John Wilkinson and Representative Chris Erwin at 8 a.m. this coming Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Toccoa-Stephens County Pre-Legislative Coffee, held at the Currahee Club and hosted by the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce. Wilkinson and Erwin will discuss planned and potential legislation that will be addressed in the 2020 session of the Georgia Legislature, which convenes Thursday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m.
“Wilkinson and Erwin will be sharing issues of interest from their perspective,” Chamber President Julie Paysen told ConnectLocal.News, adding that the event is open to everyone, not just Chamber members. In addition to comments from both Wilkinson and Erwin, there will be an opportunity for community members to ask the legislators questions and bring up specific topics for discussion, Paysen said.
