Majority of Georgia's confirmed COVID-19 case clustered around Atlanta

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Stephens County remains at zero as of noon today. Those age 60 and up account for 47 percent of confirmed cases, with females account for 53 percent of cases.

As of noon today, March 15, there are 99 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia, with one reported fatality, according to figures released by the Georgia Department of Public Health . The majority of cases clustered in counties in and surrounding Atlanta. There have been no cases confirmed in Stephens County, or adjoining counties. The closest confirmed case are in Athens/Clarke County.


Confirmed cases - defined as a person who has tested positive for 2019 novel coronavirus - by county are: Fulton (20), Cobb (19), Dekalb (10), Bartow (9), Charokee (6), Dougherty (6), Fayette (5), FLoyd (4), Gwinnett (4), Coweta (2), Clayton (2), Clarke (2), Lowndes (2), Lee (2), Gordon (2), Newton (1), Charlton (1), Henry (1), Polk (1).
