The Toccoa Main Street Program will hold its annual Main Street Awards Reception this coming Thursday, Jan. 23.
The reception, which is open to the public, will be held at the Ritz Theatre, 139 Doyle Street, beginning at 5 p.m. with light refreshments. This year the program will consist of a Volunteer Recognition Ceremony and an Awards Program beginning at 5:15 p.m., said Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby.
The Downtown Development Authority will review 2019 downtown revitalization efforts during the program.
"They will also present awards to downtown business owners, property owners, and volunteers who have exemplified outstanding service and investment in the downtown area," said Crosby.
“This annual Awards program is a great opportunity to not only become invested in the growth of Downtown Toccoa, but to see tangible evidence of the businesses created, jobs added, and lives affected through the economic development efforts directed downtown,” stated Christian Hamilton, Main Street Manager. “We always look forward to seeing our downtown represented well.”
